We could honestly harp on about how much of an influence The Kernel were on our early beer experiences until we’re blue in the face; the simplicity of their beers and love of hops had a huge impact on the first beers that we pumped out of Polly’s stable very nearly six years ago, and their exceptional execution of always swinging and never missing was our measuring stick of how to make a consistent beer. Why not then, we thought, pay our own homage to one of the beers that set us on our path, whilst putting a thoroughly Polly’s edge on it? Riding Under imitates the Pale Ales gently sprinkled with Centennial and Idaho 7 that blew our minds all those years ago, but has been treated to our very much 2023 Polly’s techniques. Expect a pale ale that wanders that thin line between new school juice and old school pine, whilst being smashable enough to sink back in pints with pals. A perfect beer for the rapidly approaching festive season.
