A beer brewed to celebrate the shared heritage of two of the most respected breweries in the North of England. Prior to creating Ossett Brewery in 1998, brewer Bob Lawson worked for Kelham Island at a time when micro brewing was really starting to boom and Easy Rider was one of the up and coming beers. During the subsequent quarter of a century both Easy Rider and Ossett's Silver King have become well established and much loved beers, so we thought it was high time to get the band back together!
Combining elements of both beers, Silver Rider is a pale golden and fairly bitter American Pale Ale, brewed from four American "C hop" varieties - Cascade, Centennial, Chinook and Citra to give aromas of citrus and tropical fruits.
