I first discovered my love for craft beer in Upstate New York. It was here, in the once thriving city of Rochester, where I learnt my trade, and became hooked on finding the next best beer to challenge my taste buds.
But after many years working in Hospitality I became overwhelmed with anxiety. I blamed the industry for my unhappiness and unrest, but I constantly struggled to manage my mental health for the best part of a decade.
Fed up with fuelling the fire I decided to reduce my alcohol intake. I turned my attention to 'low and no' beer, as I really wanted something equally flavoursome I could enjoy but would no longer be detrimental to my mental health.
I aim to encourage more people to pay attention to their mental health by consuming less alcohol. After all, better minds are better times..
