Back in 2025, we invited the legendary Burton Bridge Brewery over to brew up a big, robust beer that we wouldn't end up seeing for a whole year. After a 9 month sleep in Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels, we are finally releasing this refined barleywine in time for our Birthday celebrations. Maris Otter malt sets the base for this classic style, with Crystal and Chocolate malts added a touch of caramel sweetness and a gorgeous dark brown colour. Hopped with an English all star mix of Challenger, Northdown and East Kent Goldings, notes of marmalade and floral bitterness come to the fore. With notes of leather, oak and vanilla from the barrels, this is an ode to a traditional style that deserves to be remembered.
