Yokai is a delightfully balanced blend of bright Yuzu citrus, umami from the seaweed and gentle spice from Sichuan peppercorns. It takes inspiration from Yadokai, our infamous sake-inspired 13% beer. Yokai brings the delights of these ingredients, used so well in it’s predecessor, but are now more accessible in a balanced lower alcohol beer. All about the balance of the ingredients, and how they can work with Asian food. This takes inspiration from one of our favourite beers, but is packaged for a more everyday occasion. Kelp seaweed and sea salt build a salty, umami base while oats maintain body and mouthfeel as a sharp yuzu citrus high note leaps up with the lightly fragrant Szechuan playing in the background.
